A Lesson in Steambending

Today we learned how to bend wood by steam bending. We made bracelets with hot wood and burrs with nails. We also learned about conservation, and why we use an anvil to hammer the nails on.

We made bracelets, and it was really fun! We riveted wood and sanded it. Also, we learned about steam and how it can explode in an engine. Dehjia made many bracelets because she got it right and I made two and then sealed them with oil.
